Stir it up, STIR IT UP!!!

WOW

that is the one word i can describe this season of my life.

I think during some moments in history, sometimes, someone has to stop, sit, and think about whats going on.. in his life, in his environment, in this season of life.

things are happening in my community, in my environment, and in my life.

to list:

- More and more people are getting hungry for the Lord

- People are craving for a love movement to spread rapidly

- Unbelievers are coming to Christ at a rapid pace

- Church membership is growing at a rapid pace

- Cell groups is getting larger

- Young people are stepping into the radical lifestyles that they were destined for.

- The Lord is speaking to me in clear ways, and very obvious ways..

- Jesus is meeting people where they're at, no matter where they're at.

the list goes on and on.

I think im in one of those moments, and i am SO thankful to God that He has allowed me to live in such an exciting season of the world.

absoutely everything around me, and in my life tells me this is the birthings of a great revival.

hear me on this, i am no scholar or theologian.

You probably know more about the bible than me, more about church history than me,

and straight up - i am a high school drop kick. and i dont know much.

but when i think of the world "Revival"

i feel that its just when a mass number of people come to Jesus in repentance, then accept Him into their lives, then experience the transforming power of the Holy Spirit inside of them.

It's always been the same pattern.

Repentance -> Revival -> Reformation.

but its so true isnt it?

if we come in pure brokenness and humility, and we just put ourselves in our right places before God, and just weep in bitter repentance.. oh how beautiful

then as IF God wouldn't pour out His cup of revival on our land?!??

and we can EXPECT reformation to happen.

throughout the last few weeks I've been telling people that Sydney is hungry.

hungry for something - and they don't even know what it is..

but i think i need to broaden my lens.

i think the WORLD is hungry.. hungry for something - and most of the citizens of the world dont even know what they're hungry for.

i am quite certain that JESUS is what they're hungry for.

whether people have never heard the good news, whether people are backslidden Christians, whether people are nominal, ordinary, sunday-christians.

i think God is doing a NEW thing, and its an exciting season to be alive..

Jeff Reid is coming to Sydney.

the whole thing with this is just crazy.

its just crazy.

about 8 months ago, Songa and i were at Kona, just enjoying our lecture phase.

and as we hung out in the cool summer nights breeze, we would almost as an off-note, speak of how EPIC it would be if Jeff came to Sydney

its not like.. we prayed about it, its not even like.. we asked him to come.

we just talked about it, and we both thought it would just be so awesome if he came to sydney.

now - 8 months later - God is teaching me something.

God is teaching me that He already KNOWS whats in my heart, and i think this is just one of those classic examples where God just grants you the desires of your heart, simply because

He Loves You.

but now - Jeff is coming to Sydney.

hmmmm i think God orchestrates things very well.

One thing which has really amazed me is seeing my younger friends - 18,19,20 etc

just GOING for it, 1 Timothy 4:12 styles...

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."

It really stirs me when i see the younger guys just not holding back, and just going hard out for Jesus. and to be honest, i think it is exactly this that changes the world.
